Tell us a little about yourself and what you do at OnPoint! I have been doing coding and auditing for the last thirty-five years.
How did you find your way into healthcare, specifically coding and auditing? I started working back office in an obgyn office, although I loved working with patients I found my passion was more on the business side.
What’s a skill you use every day that you couldn’t do your job without? Staying organized and time management.
What’s one thing you enjoy about being part of the healthcare industry? I continue to learn new things everyday!
Tell us about a proud moment in your career: I was working as director of resident financial services at a Skilled Nursing Facility and was able to collect over a million dollars in old AR.
What do you like about working for OnPoint? They treat you like family.
What are you looking forward to most this year? Attending a family reunion in PA in October.
Favorite thing to do when you’re not working? Spending time with my kids and traveling.
What are you currently watching or reading? I am a huge Chicago one franchise watcher.
What’s something about you that not many people may know? That I have two biological kids and also adopted both grandsons.
What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone new to coding or auditing? Make sure you love what you are doing.
If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be? Flying a plane, I know it sounds very random.
What’s one thing you’ve learned in your career that has stuck with you? Always give one hundred percent.
Coffee, tea, or energy drinks? All day coffee drinker.
What’s your go-to way to unwind after a busy day? Working out
If you could travel anywhere tomorrow, where would you go? Italy, my grandparents were from Sicily, I would love to see where they grew up and to see all the incredible architecture.
What’s your favorite way to stay organized and productive? Seeing the impact, I am making on the companies’ revenue coming in each month.
