Employee Spotlight: Mike Harrington, Director of Business Development
We had the privilege to chat with OnPoint’s very own, Mike Harrington! Mike has been with OnPoint from the very beginning (five and a half years!) and his gift for building relationships and creating connections has been instrumental in OnPoint’s growth and success. Get to know more about Mike, his accomplishments and his hobbies below!

What’s your favorite thing about your job?
Working with people who share a similar mindset of there’s no “I” in “Team”. We rely heavily on each other to be successful in our respective positions. It’s awesome being a part of a team that grinds and has fun at the same time.
What’s the most exciting part of your job?
Knowing that we’re helping our clients’ achieve their goals is very rewarding. Figuring out the puzzle for each client’s specific goals and how to adapt to their changing needs. Every day is different which always keeps you on your toes!
What do you enjoy most about working at OnPoint?
The people. Incredible team members/friends who care for each other’s success.
An accomplishment your proud of, outside of work?
I started a Charity Golf Tournament in San Diego in 2016. My friend from college and her husband lost their son Lee at 5 1/2 years old due to complications from Timothy Syndrome. Timothy Syndrome is a rare condition with less than 80 known cases in the world. Last year we had 140 players and raised $32,000 for the Timothy Syndrome Foundation bringing, the 7-year donation total to $89,000. This year I’m expanding the charity event to 2 Tournaments: 9/23 @ Golf Club of CA in Fallbrook, CA and 10/1 @ Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad, CA. Looking forward to 2 great events this year!
Favorite thing to do when you’re not working?
Golf, golf and more golf.
Favorite meal?
Sushi.
What’s your favorite sports team to root for?
Baltimore Orioles (1st Place in the AL EAST right now!)

Tell me about the first job you’ve ever held.
Selling Moissanite… IYKYK.
If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
Tokyo, Japan.
